Wedding Receptions

Hire our vessel for your special day. Tailored packages can be arranged for your day and or evening celebration. This truly is a venue with a difference, adding the wow factor to your day. If you would like to talk to our Wedding coordinator or for us to send you our current brochure please do not hesitate in contacting us.

Conferences

Our vessel provides the ideal venue with a difference for any conference in Southampton, with the ability to come in and out of port frequently,  you will have no problem getting your guests on and off the vessel at your pleasure. Slowly cruising around the local area you will enjoy the benefits of great views from a unique venue. The hire of conference equipment, such as flip charts or TV and videos can be arranged through us, at reasonable rates. For more information on Conferences contact us.

Client/Employee Entertainment

Our vessel is often used to entertain either current or prospective clients by taking them out cruising around the Solent and Southampton Waters. We have several customers who treat their employees to a function onboard with food and a disco a thanks for their efforts.

Yacht Racing

Events such as COWES WEEK and the start and end of ROUND THE WORLD RACES prove to be popular times for corporate outings. Our vessels have large open decks for excellent viewing of all types of yacht racing. We have even been used as a Start/Finish boat during yacht racing. Our smaller vessel was used in the Youth World Championship Yacht Racing as a spectator boat for all the coaches from countries all around the globe.

Product Launches

We are able to accommodate most requests, including the launch of new car models whereby vehicles are craned onto the open deck space of our vessel. We had the “Ford KA” launched on the “Ocean Scene”, while the car was located on our top deck.

Private Parties

Our boat is available to hire for Private Parties throughout the year. The vessel is fully heated and holds fully licensed bars. Catering is offered on all cruise, a wide range of menus being available for your consideration. Our Chef is always available to talk through any special requirements you may have. Entertainment can be provided, from our resident DJ, call us for a quote, we may also be able to advise on hiring of local bands. You are welcome to bring our own entertainment on board as long as they have all their own equipment.

Depending on the type of charter – A damage retainer of £500 and/or charges for supplying security may be applicable and is at sole discretion of Blue Funnel. Damage retainers will be returned after the event in line with our conditions of carriage.

School Parties / Proms

Owing to the nature of such events (whereby passengers are unquestionably under 18) we only operate ‘soft’ bars – NO alcohol – this includes teachers and/or accompanying adults.

We are very flexible in our business and are able to discuss and tailor cruises to suit your particular requirements. Please do not hesitate in contacting us to discuss your requirements.

Scatterings

Scatterings are offered on the basis of a one hour hire. The scattering is performed at the point where the 4 rivers, being the Itchen, Test, Hamble & Solent meet. There are no minimum numbers for scatterings. The  main vessel available for charter will be Ocean Scene, due to her height manual scattering is not permitted. The ashes must be lowered down in a biodegradable urn. Maximum passenger allowance 50, numbers over 50 may incur additional charges.

Subject to availability we have a smaller mostly open launch Jenny Blue where manual scattering is permitted. Maximum passenger numbers for her are 40 although in inclement weather a maximum of 25 is advised to utilise the small cabin area.

Scatterings are offered in 2 time slots mornings only – Choice of sailing 11:00 or 11:30 subject to availability.  Full payment is due immediately on booking. Bookings are non refundable.  An admin fees of £100 will apply for any subsequent changes so please ensure the chosen date is agreed by all parties before booking.
